General Terms & Conditions
Conditions of Entry
  • All artworks must celebrate or represent Red Gums or the Red Gum environment in some way.
  • Artists can submit up to 2 x hung works: painting/drawing/canvas, 2D work (no larger than 1.2mx1.2m)
  • Artists are required to submit their entry form by Friday 6th March 2020
  • All Artworks must be received at the Cavendish Soldiers Memorial Hall on Thursday 2nd April 2018 between 9am-12noon. Alternative arrangements can be made by contacting us.
  • Entries must be the original work of the artist.
  •  Late applications may not be accepted. Alterations to applications cannot be made after the closing date.
  • Artwork must be collected after 12noon on Sunday 5th April unless alternative arrangements have been made
  • Artists must ensure that all packaging, wrapping and or carry bags used for paintings is clearly labelled with the artists name and contact details.

Entries can be made by either:
1.Completing the online entry form (click box above)
2.By downloadingthe printable application form (click box above) and posting or returning it in person to “Tops & Tails” Brown Street Hamilton or the Cavendish Primary School Office or by
3.Collecting a hard copy form from the MUD Gallery, Tops n Tails or the Cavendish Primary School Office and returning it once completed to Tops n Tails or the Cavendish PS Office.

Artwork Specifications:
  • Works offered for exhibition must have the artist’s name, title of work, medium and price marked clearly on a label affixed to the back of the work.
  • The committee reserves the right to reject any work that is not framed professionally or in which the framing is fragile or not secured properly. Due care will be taken by the committee however framing is the responsibility of the artist, even after the work is sold.
  • Artworks will not be accepted unless they are ready to hang with appropriate hooks and wire.
  • Wet paintings, unframed works on paper and unprotected water-soluble media such as watercolour, gouache or tempera will not be accepted for hanging. Unframed paintings on canvas will be accepted providing appropriate hooks and wire are attached.
  • Works will be displayed on movable partitions, walls of the venue or freestanding easels.  The venue is unable to provide special lighting and will not provide electricity for any works.
  • All works must be available for sale with 15% commission going to the Cavendish Red Gum Festival, except for work by junior artists who are encouraged to submit pieces for exhibition only.
